MY STORY
My name is Val Tannenbaum, and I was raised on the Brooklyn waterfront in a “working class” household--and because trouble could come from anywhere, I stayed close to home, spending lots of time with my Grandfather in his basement workshop.
He would give me little projects to do, to keep me from getting underfoot, and he eventually re-wired my mind toward things mechanical, and taught me how to work with my hands.
After graduation I enlisted in the US Air Force, hoping to become a pilot and, despite a Congressional Nomination to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, vision problems prevented that dream from coming true. So I decided to switch my MOS to Security, and security has been my life ever since.
Now that I’m thinking about it, I imagine I could have done worse than to start a business where I can help people protect everyone and everything they hold dear.
